Well, as any frequent traveler should come to expect, our 26-ish hours of flying are not turning out to flow without a hitch. We have been traveling since 7:15 am on Sat. March 23rd from the bus station, and are now stuck on a delayed layover in Seoul, South Korea approximately 17 hours later (with another 5 hour flight, customs, visa acquisition, etc. to come). However, other than our slight hiccup of a layover, life is good here in Seoul. For the first time in my traveling life, I have finally found an airport with free wifi. Low and behold, there is a god. It has resulted in easy family check-ins (sorry mom- forgot its only 3 am there...) and easy entertainment (also known as facebook) after our 13 hour flight out of Chicago. Other than the check-ins we've done a bit of culture cruising through the airport. We made some awesome Korean crafts (still not exactly sure what my thing represents, but whatever.. it was fun) and ate a Korean traditional dish named bugolgi. It was beef with rice and vegetables in a stone bowl. Yeah. Yum.
Well folks, its about that time to board the plane. Yay for the final stretch of the longest day of my life, quite literally. Onwards into the next time zone!
